It is true that the negative ethnicity is not a confine of Africa alone, but that should not be said in a tone that almost sounds like well, they are doing it too, so dont shout at us-then go on to show it is wrong. Why is it that We Africans always feel that errors can be justified simply because the white world does it too/ Cant we lead by example so we can be icons of brotherhood, love, and peace, from which the other people can look upon us? Or is it part of our colonial psychology that we can never dream of doing something that the rest of the world can learn from us? Negative Ethnicity, whether in Rwanda, Kenya, Kisumu, Bulgaria, White House, Iraq, wherever, is wrong and needs to be eradicated. It's great to read such a refreshing mindset from Koigi Wamwere, and just off the cuff, I think its hard for one to spout such profound wisdom yet as a politician he has to find a balance of being popular with his people.
